In downtown Decatur is the most successful independent movie theater downstate and has been featured in numerous national and international publications. The Lincoln Square Theater is the host of several theater productions, choirs, ballet troupes, high school groups, and professional solo performers throughout the year. Both of these theaters are also said to be haunted.
