Washington Irving (author of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow among other books) visited this area when he traveled America. This park is dedicated to him and at the entrance to the park is one of many steel girders that once belonged to New York's World Trade Center Twin Towers, disturbing reminder of that event of 2001.
This well-known burger eatery is the place to go if you're craving good burgers. It's in the middle of downtown Bixby.

The main road to get to Bixby is Memorial Drive, You can take other backroads to get there, but they're not as reliable. US-75 Connects Bixby and The Okmulgee Beeline to Haskell and Okmulgee
