Malabar Farm State Park
In 1976, Malabar Farm became an official Ohio State Park. Dedicated to perpetuating Bromfield's farming philosophies, preserving the Big House artifacts, providing a place where visitors can explore life on the farm and beauty of nature. Visit the livestock in the main barn. Camping, fishing, hiking. Horses and pets permitted. Farm tours cost $3 per person, and house tours are $6.
The trail runs mostly east–west along the north end of the main downtown area. In total, it is 18 miles long and connects four different towns along a former railroad track. It is paved and mostly flat, so you can walk, run, skate, or bike. Dogs only if leashed. No horses.
Independent local grocery store that's been in business for over 100 years has all the usual grocery things, plus prepared foods and cold drinks. Get what you need for a picnic, a BBQ, or lunch on the road.
Large restaurant with buffet or family-style service. A meat-and-potatoes kind of place, it's known for broasted chicken, Amish-style noodles, and lots of pies. Donuts, pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls,bread, and more available for takeout from their bakery.
Lively Mexican restaurant with large portions. Many colorful flavors of margaritas. Save room for dessert if you can; try the sopaipillas with honey or the fried ice cream. Kids' menu.
An otherwise ordinary hotel lifted into the dreams of traveling children by a busy indoor pool with a large water slide and other amusement-park-style water features. Grab a hot breakfast (included) and then let the kids wear themselves out in the pool area before checking out by 11AM sharp (they fine anyone who overstays their time in the pool) and resuming your drive. Arcade games, laundry room, exercise room. Some rooms permit dogs. Some rooms have three queen beds, to accommodate a family of six.

A less-expensive option if you're passing through. It's right next to the highway, and the traffic noise is a bit less if you can get a room on the far side of the building. Cold breakfast included.
Budget option with in-room microwaves and mini refrigerators.
A good option for a business traveler or someone looking for a comfortable room at a reasonable price. Cold breakfast plus waffles. Some suites and meeting rooms. Indoor pool and hot tub. Dogs accepted in some rooms.
