Wareham is a romantic and unforgettable old town in Dorset, UK. It lives within its earthen walls, with ramparts north, east and west and a river to the south. Apart from its fine bridge, its wonderful earthen walls, its fascinating churches and its little quay, there is much to make Wareham lovable. Its bright streets, charming squares, enchanting houses, splendid views and delightful riverside walks makes it a must for visitors to the Purbecks.

Clouds Hill
This tiny isolated cottage in the heart of Dorset was the home of an extraordinary man: T. E. Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia.
One of the world's largest museums covering tanks and armoured vehicles. The museum also conducts a Tanks in Action display with explosions and a mock battle. Great fun for all ages!
Particularly notable for its hexagonal font.
St Martin's-on-the-walls
In the church of St Martin-on-the-Walls, there is a recumbent effigy of T. E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) in Arab clothing, sculpted by Eric Kennington
A swimming hole coloured blue by minerals
Arne remains one of the few places in the UK where all six of the UK's native reptiles can be found. Situated on Poole Harbour and within the Dorset Area of Natural Beauty, it's a stunning landscape which consists of dramatic open heathland and ancient oak woodland.
