Jhushan is the closest town to Xitou, one of Taiwan's most popular mountain weekend destinations, at 1,000m above sea level in a 100-year-old artificial cedar forest. Accessible by direct bus routes from town. Owned by National Taiwan University, which does forestry research there. Next door is the "Monster Village", a Japanese-enchanted-forest themed tourist village. See article for more information.

忘憂森林
杉林溪森林遊樂區
This commercially-run forest recreation area is located at an elevation of 1,600-1,800 meters above sea level, higher than Xitou, with an area of 40 hectares. It consists of herb and flower garden as well as three waterfalls.
