It is a long, very linear and open sandbar, which extends from the mouth of the Ridaura River to the south, and to the north it borders Punta d'en Ramis. Oriented to the east-southeast, it is 1,500 m long and has a width that varies between 40 and 70 m, made up of coarse golden sand. The slope of the entrance to the water is very steep and the bottom is sandy. The entire beach is flanked by a lively promenade where there are bars, restaurants and hotels. It has all kinds of services: toilets, showers, lifeguard, first aid station, ramps for people with reduced mobility, taverns, sunbeds and parasols for rent, children's play areas and centres for practicing nautical activities.
