It is 90 m long and has an average width of 16 m, made up of coarse sand, gravel and pebbles. The slope into the water is not very steep and the seabed is rocky. It is usually not very frequented. It does not have any services.

It entered service on September 1, 1865 and has of a hexagonal prismatic tower with a gray dome. It has had an electrical network since 1917 and in 1975 its structure was renovated due to cracks that had developed, mainly as a result of the bombings suffered during the civil war of 1936-39.
