The church was started at the beginning of 1950. On May 14, 1957, the work reached the first level of the bell tower, which was crowned and, therefore, the entire building was finished on June 6, 1958. In 1973, work began on the reform of the presbytery to adapt it to the new liturgical provisions. In 1995, the reform of the external side stairs and part of the baptistery was carried out. The archpriest's church has been in the diocese of Solsona since 1879. Until that date, it belonged to the archpriesthood of Tàrrega and since 1987 to that of Mollerussa.
