Adelantado Forest Park

A subtropical forest park close to the centre of La Esperanza with an area of 25,400 m² at an altitude between 850 m and 875 m. Before the arrival of agriculture, most of the surroundings of La Esperanza were covered in similar forests, but eventually felled to make space for grazing areas and settlements. Only this portion of the forest was preserved because of its location in a steep ravine.
