The floor of the valley lies about 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) above sea level and is accessible from the south via a rack railway (the Vall de Núria Rack Railway) or by foot, and from France to the north by footpaths. There are no roads to access the valley. The place is historically notable for the 1931 drafting of the first Catalan Statute of Autonomy, in the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Núria.
Santuari de la Mare de Déu de Núria
Virgin Mary
Ermita de Sant Gil
According to tradition, it was built in 1615 on the site where the image of the Virgin Mary was discovered, commemorating Saint Giles's stay in the Núria Valley around the year 700. At the outbreak of the Civil War, many religious symbols were destroyed, including the hermitage, which was burned down and demolished. In 1951, an admirable grassroots campaign was launched; it involved sending letters to everyone named Núria (a popular lady name in Catalonia), inviting them to make a contribution—specifically, to pay for a tile or a stone engraved with their name for posterity. Everyone took part, including the mass media. With the restoration of the Chapel of Saint Giles, Núria regained one of the spaces that formed part of its symbolic and mythical landscape.

is a mountainous cirque in the Eastern Pyrenees located north of the municipality of Setcases (Ripollès). Its name comes from the fact that it hosts the source of the Ter river (In catalan: ull= eye Ter=the Ter river , Ulldeter = The Eye of the Ter river). United to the northeast with the cirque of Morens (and both limited to the north by a ridge that separates them from the Conflent and, therefore, from the Tet valley), it is framed by the Pic de la Dona to the east (2,704 m), the Pic de Bastiments (2,881 m) to the north, and the Gra de Fajol (formed by the Gra de Fajol de Dalt, of 2,706 m, and the Gra de Fajol de Baix, of 2,536 m), to the southwest. These are separated by the Coll de la Marrana (which separates the Gra de Fajol Alt from the Pic de Bastiments), which gives access to the Freser valley.
Nice village on the Vallter valley
It stands as the highest (2909.8m) and westernmost of the peaks that make up the so-called Gran Olla, which surrounds the Vall de Núria. It is a wide and rounded peak, and its ascent is easy if the weather conditions are not very adverse. At its summit there is a wrought iron cross. Classic route: From the sanctuary, we will start a simple path in a westward direction through the Sant Gil forest, from where we will follow the course of the torrent entering the coma of l'Embut and finally reaching a rain gauge. From here the path becomes rockier, with a steeper slope, and we must overcome a difficult scree
Collet de les Barraques
The site has wide views of the Serra de Montgrony and the Rigard valley, as well as the Corral Blanc refuge, parking, a picnic area and viewpoints. Several walking routes begin here, including an ascent towards Puigmal. In winter, confirm that the access track is open and passable before starting the route.
Collada de Fontalba
It is a mountain pass located just above 2,000 m of altitude in the municipality of Queralbs. You can access it through a forest track. This is where we can find one of the classic ascents to Puigmal and one of the access foot trails to Núria.

It is located within the Ter and Freser Headwaters Natural Park. It is also a key crossing point for the crossing between the Ulldeter cirque and the upper Freser valley towards Núria and Coma de Vaca. From the Ulldeter refuge you can climb to the pass on foot in 45 minutes.
Coll de Meianell
This mountain pass, at just above 1,930 metres, stands on the boundary between Pardines and Vilallonga de Ter. It marks the transition from black-pine woodland to open grazing land and is a good place to watch birds of prey. It also serves as a starting point for walks to Puig Cerverís and Balandrau. A vehicle can reach it via the Ribesaltes–Tregurà forest track.
Portella de Mentet
is a high mountain pass in the eastern foothills of the Canigó Massif, on the border between the commune of Mentet in Conflent, Northern Catalonia, and the municipality of Setcases in Ripollès, Catalonia, Spain. It has an elevation of 2,412 metres above sea level.
Circ de Concròs
It is an ancient glacial cirque, whose basin is located at 2,245 meters above sea level and the approximate diameter of the cirque is one kilometer. At the bottom of the cirque are the Concròs ponds.
Pic de Costabona

is a mountain pass in the Pyrenees that connects the counties of Ripollès and Vallespir, between the municipal districts of Molló and the communal districts of Prats de Molló and la Presta. It serves as a cross-border crossing, while separating the Ter and Tec valleys. There used to be a customs house at this point (now it is a wide esplanade from which there are magnificent views over the two aforementioned valleys). Pirinexus route uses this pass.
Salt de la Cua de Cavall
A waterfall about 30 metres high drops into the Freser River. The surrounding rock formations provide a good example of the area’s metamorphic geology, including marble and sandstone. From here, the trail follows the river upstream to Coma de Vaca, home to a staffed mountain refuge.
Forat de l'Embut
is a striking karst feature where a stream disappears into a network of fissures and underground passages, then emerges again beyond the mountain. The contrasting local geology explains the effect: the pale marble contains water-soluble limestone, while the darker schist does not dissolve.
Following the reference point that leaves Setcases and goes up the Carboneres stream, we find the gorges of Cossi de Batlló. Following the Setcases track to Espinavell, we can see the black pine forests of Baga de Carboners. Further on, the Baidana viewpoint, with spectacular panoramic views of Pastuira and Serrat del Dob.
