With two distinct sections, a Roman (probably built in the first century, to pass through it the route started by Emperor Augustus) and another medieval one, it has 27 arches. The Roman bridge, with seven arches, is partially covered by the massif where the Church of Santo António da Torre Velha is located. The medieval bridge has 17 arches, two of which are buried.
