Zamek krzyżacki i Muzeum w Ostródzie
The main historic monument of Ostróda, originally a Teutonic Order castle. It was rebuilt after wartime damage and now houses a museum and cultural functions. Napoleon stayed in Ostróda in 1807, and the castle is one of the town's standard short-visit stops.
Kayaks, pedal boats, sailing and other seasonal lake activities are available around the marina and waterfront in the warmer months. Check wind and weather before going out on the lake.
A good low-effort activity if you have only a few hours in town. The central lakefront has the best services; longer routes around the lake become more rural.
The most typical Ostróda activity. Shorter cruises are best for a relaxed lake trip; longer canal routes require more planning and may take much of the day.
Kamienica przy ul. A. Mickiewicza 9
Tenement house from 1896 in the centre of Ostróda.
Molo i Bulwar Europejski
The main leisure area of Ostróda, with lake views, cafés, restaurants, benches, walking paths, boat piers and the summer atmosphere of a Masurian resort town. Good for an easy sunset walk.
