Pałac Brunszwickich
Baszta Lontowa
One of the two surviving medieval towers in Kołobrzeg. The Fuse Tower is the only object of the medieval defense system of the city, which has survived in its entirety to this day.
Just like the Fuse Tower, Więzienna Tower is a surviving medieval defence tower in Kołobrzeg. The tower was built in the 14th century. It was part of the northern section of the Gothic city walls. In the Middle Ages, it served as a prison. People were held there awaiting trial or execution of the sentence. Only a small part of the tower still stands today.
Tours in the museum are available in Polish, English and Russian.
Muzeum Oręża Polskiego
South of Bagicz, some 4 kilometres (2 miles) from Kołobrzeg, this over 800-year-old oak tree stands in the large forest east of Kołobrzeg. Dated in the year 2000 as the oldest oak in Poland, it was named Bolesław to commemorate the king Boleslaus the Brave. A storm in 2016 managed to make the oak tree fall down. It is still lying there and surrounded by protection wires to protect it from any vandalism. As of 2022, the oldest still standing oak tree in Poland is Jan Kazimierz in the village of Bąkowo in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodeship.
