The main building of the Nicholas Copernicus Museum in Frombork.
The largest building on the Cathedral Hill. It burned down in 1945 but got rebuilt in 1972-1973. The belfry also houses the Foucault’s pendulum – the only instrument in Poland to observe the rotary motion of the Earth. A viewing platform 70 m above the sea level gives visitors the opportunity to observe the landscapes of Frombork’s surroundings.
The Gothic cathedral was built between 1329 and 1388. Since that time it has experienced a few minor expansions.
