Large skansen or open-air museum, with old farm buildings, dwellings and so on collected from around the region. Not much visible Nov-April as buildings are shuttered up against the winter. Its centrepiece was intended to be the 16th century church of Syrynia, but somehow that landed up in Katowice, and it's too frail to move again. Guided tour is available, but the accuracy of the guide's explanation is questionable at best.
The Upper Silesian Ethnographic Park is an open-air museum in Chorzów, Poland. It is referred to as a skansen, stemming from the first open-air museum of its kind, the Skansen in Stockholm, Sweden. The area of the park is 25 hectares.
