The red brick water tower on a hill has an exposition about old plumbings and photos of other European water towers. Inside the water tank there is a completely different and futuristic looking room, all in metal and glass, with an art exhibition. From the center of the first floor there is a long spiral staircase that, without exits to the other floors, goes all the way up to a small panoramic viewing platform with a good overview of the city.
The old water tower is a historic water tower belonging to the municipal water supply network of Bydgoszcz, Poland. Its importance in the local history has been acknowledged in 1986 by a registering on the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Heritage List.
