Imelda Cove
An underdeveloped white-sand cove.
A chapel built by the cove where the Santo Cristo Milagroso was said to have washed up in 1620 from Japan, where it had been hidden away by Christians being persecuted by the Tokugawa Shogunate. At the same time, a twin image of the Virgin Mary, known as the Virgen Milagrosa, washed up in the neighboring village of Paguetpet, part of Badoc, and is also venerated in that town’s basilica. The cove was subsequently named in the Virgin's honor.
