The only house in Mindanao where two Philippine Presidents resided: the father-daughter Presidents Diosdado Macapagal and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. In 1994, upon the instigation of Diosdado, the lot where the house stands and a two-hectare cocoland nearby were donated to the City Government of Iligan for the purpose of developing the place into a tourist destination with a memorabilia of the Macaraeg-Macapagal Family.
