Yurimaguas is a city located in the Loreto Region of Peru. It serves as the capital of the Alto Amazonas Province and is situated in the northeastern part of the country. Yurimaguas is located on the banks of the Huallaga River, which is an important tributary of the Amazon River.
There are road and river connections to Tarapoto, and buses from there to the Pacific coast.
