Fedje is an island off the coast of West Norway. It's in an unsheltered position, far from the mainland or other islands, so it has a rough, coastal climate, with mild winters and cool summers. Fedje is also the name of the archipelago of over a hundred islands that surrounds the main island, and the name of the municipality that administers the islands.
Holmengrå fyr
Almost 5 km north of the main island, Holmengrå is the site of a lighthouse that dates back to 1892. Known as one of the most isolated lighthouses in Norway, the climate here is even rougher than on the main island further south. The lighthouse has two floors accessible to renters, with a total of nine beds.
Hellisøy fyr
Closed for renovation. Hellisøy Lighthouse is on an islet 50 m south of the main island, and is more easily accessible than the lighthouse on Holmengrå.
