One of Taranaki’s best-known heritage landmarks. Climb the 215 steps up the tower for marvelous views of the Taranaki countryside. The tower was completed in 1914, following a major fire in the town centre in 1912. The tower was restored in 2004, and the tower lights were changed to colour changing LEDs in 2020.
