Sierra la Laguna Biosphere Reserve is a protected natural area in Baja California Sur in western Mexico. The Sierra la Laguna is a small mountain range with thick green forests at its higher elevations. It is an oasis of green in a region dominated by sandy, rocky dry deserts. The Sierra la Laguna is a critical watershed for the city of La Paz and for the resort areas of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo.
