The joint Kenya–Tanzania immigration and customs complex and the defining feature of the town. It is interesting as a major East African transport and trading hub, although it is a working security facility rather than a conventional attraction. Do not photograph officers, checkpoints or restricted installations without permission.

Namanga Hills; Ol Donyo Orok
A 2,548-m mountain and forest reserve rising above the dry plains northwest of town. Its upper slopes contain misty montane forest, streams and viewpoints across southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. The mountain is not a casual roadside walk: trails can be indistinct, and buffaloes, snakes and other wildlife may occur.
