This big park is loved by the young and the old alike. There is a pond, whose water was used for cooking at the battle of Tsurugamine in 1202. The pond was enlarged for irrigation in 1700. It is a habitat for "genjibotaru" (Nipponoluciola cruciata, a variety of firefly) and registered as one of Yokohama City's natural monument. In spring, cherry blossoms are very beautiful.
