風の湯
If naked planespotting sounds like your idea of a good time, check out this Japanese-style spa with views of a strip of the tarmac. Jacuzzi, jet bath, sauna and washing facilities are provided, the only lack is that there's no place to cool off (except a cold shower).
Giant hangar near T2, containing the first ever Boeing 787 Dreamliner where you can visit the cockpit and stare into the maw of a 2.8m engine. There's also a kids play area (mostly free, but net climbing area ¥300), full-fledges B787 flight simulators (fees apply), and a Seattle-themed dining area.
味仙中部国際空港店
Surprisingly inexpensive ramen in the airport. The restaurant is famous for its spicy ramen, Taiwan ramen (台湾ラーメン), since spicy food is rare in Japanese cuisine. Taiwan ramen has been seen as a classic Nagoya cuisine, so it may be worth trying one. If you are not ready for something very spicy, try American ramen (アメリカン) first.
セントレアホテル
コンフォートホテル中部国際空港
Adequate sized rooms, practical for an overnight stay. Free wireless internet and basic continental breakfast. Book early.
東横INN中部国際空港
Toyoko has two buildings there. While you can walk to get there, free shuttle buses are also available, which stop at the first building. The room size is small, but okay for travellers who stay one night. They also provide a free breakfast buffet, but don't expect what you’d get at other hotels - a bread with red bean, salad with various vegetables, natto, and drinks might be all you can get.
フォーポイントバイシェラトン 名古屋 中部国際空港
チュウブ・スクウェア
The capsule hotel you already know. It provides a small but affordable choice for those who want to sleep. Showers are charged ¥900 per hour.
The airport is simply and efficiently laid out, most areas flowing into and out of a central hub called the Access Plaza making it easy walking to all areas.
