Constructed in 1110 AD, this castle is located a little outside of town. It was built as a military outpost. Around the 16th century, it was modified to serve as a residence.

Reifenstein Castle is a castle in Freienfeld, near Sterzing, in South Tyrol. It is located near a dried marsh, in the valley of the Eisack.
