Built in the 1870s, when the population of the new settlement had begun to grow, it was dedicated to Santa Filomena. When in the 1960s the Congregation of Rites removed the saint from the calendar, Roseto replaced the church's title, dedicating it to Maria Assunta, who also became the new patroness of the city. Inside it preserves a valuable altar in polychrome wood, with statues of saints and prophets. In its sacristy there is a plaque, which commemorates the birth of Roseto (May 22, 1860), by the clergy of the Church, who divided into lots and ceded the marina of which it was owner in emphyteusis. Noteworthy is the bell tower belonging to the church of S. Antimo, linked to a legend that attributes its construction to Pope Sixtus V.
