The only way in is by road. Take the windy SP25 road south from the coast. It takes about 1 hour from Cefalu. Parking is available free by the roadside just as you enter the village.

UnderstandPollina is the remaining location in Sicily for the production of manna. This sweet white substance is drawn from the sap of trees. It is believed to have medicinal properties.

SeeThe main attraction is the amphitheatre and old castle at the top of town. There are some breathtaking views of the northern coast from the walkways around this area. In the main village there is a small but good museum.

EatThere is a small restaurant at the back of the amphitheatre. Its opening times may not be regular.
