Mount Etna is a 3403-m-high active volcano in Sicily, Italy. It's on the east coast, just north of the city of Catania. It is a decade volcano, dangerous because it is active and near a city.

By car
A18 is the main coast highway, with exits (coming from the north) at Fiumefreddo, Giarre, Acireale, Catania and Misterbianco.
By bus
The only public bus up the mountain is AST Bus 607 from Catania via Nicolosi to Rifugio Sapienza. It runs once a day from Catania (main bus station) at 08:15, coming back at 16:30.
