Necropolis of Monte Saraceno

In the Middle Ages there was a Benedictine abbey on the 874-m-high Monte Sacro, built in the 11th century. In the 13th century, it was abandoned to decay after earthquake damage. Access is via a spur road that branches off the SS89 east of the village. The footpath to the ruins of the abbey goes off the road to Contrada Stinco shortly before the agriturismo.
