Duomo di Amalfi
Built in the 13th century. You can see its magnificent bell tower from the harbour.
A former shipyard from the medieval Republic of Amalfi, it now houses a museum about the republic’s history.
Santa Maria del Bando is a small, scenic chapel perched high above Amalfi, near the ancient watchtower of Pontone. Dating back to the 12th century, it is named after a legend in which the Virgin Mary saved a man wrongfully sentenced to death by publicly banning, or proclaiming his innocence. The chapel is accessible via a steep footpath and rewards visitors with sweeping views of the Amalfi Coast, the Valle delle Ferriere, and the Gulf of Salerno.
