East Coast and Midlands is a region of Ireland, centred on Dublin and roughly corresponding to the ancient kingdom of Leinster. It's never been a unit of government; it's simply a collection of counties for statistical and planning purposes.
Dublin Airport (DUB) is at the north edge of the city. It has a wide choice of flights at competitive fares, and direct buses across the entire region.

Brú na Bóinne (meaning "Palace of the Boyne") is a remarkable complex of Neolithic chamber tombs, standing stones, henges and other prehistoric structures. It's by the banks of the River Boyne in County Meath, 40 km north of Dublin and 8 km west of Drogheda.
Glendalough is a medieval monastery complex in County Wicklow in Ireland, 40 km south of Dublin. It's set in a deep scenic valley which is within the Wicklow Mountains National Park and has been protected from development.
Clonmacnoise (pronounced as written, "Klon-mack-noyz") is a medieval monastery complex in County Offaly in the centre of Ireland. It was mostly abandoned during the 13th century, and today has nine ruined churches, a castle, two round towers and many carved stone crosses and cross-slabs.
