There are public ferries from Lembar (Lombok) to Padang Bai every hour, 24 hours a day. The trip normally takes four hours (but it can be considerably longer in poor weather) and costs Rp35,000.
There is a regular shuttle bus network on the south coast which links the popular destinations of Padang Bai, Candidasa and Amed.
