South Gujarat covers the southern plains of Gujarat in western India, bordering the Western Ghats to the east.
By road
Most of the highways that connect Gujarat with the rest of India goes through this region.
By train
There are trains from and to Mumbai (500 km) and New Delhi (1000 km) and other big cities of India several times a day going to Surat.
As in the rest of Gujarat, most people in this region travel by private buses or by taxi.
