Famous for its wide variety of birds, butterflies, ferns and orchids. The best time to visit is winter or spring, when maximum variety of birds are present in this sanctuary.

Janakinath Bose, father of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, used to live in Cuttack most of the time and come to this house during Puja times. The area where the house is located was originally known as "Kodalia" before being later renamed to "Subhasgram" to honour the freedom fighter. Although the Bose family later moved to Bhowanipore further north, Durga Puja still brings the family together at Subhasgram.
