Puttaparthi is the place in Andhra Pradesh, India where the guru Sathya Sai Baba lived until his death in 2011. He is considered as "God Incarnate" by many of his followers. It is a beautiful valley between the hills. It is a perfect description of a global village, where you get to see the Indian countryside along with the modern facilities.
Puttaparthi is easily accessible today by train, road and airport. It has a tiny but beautiful railway station. The airport no longer serves scheduled commercial flights. Bangalore is 3 hours away by road.
