Bargarh is a town and a municipality in Bargarh district in the state of Odisha, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Bargarh District.

Once a capital of a princely state, Sonpur is often called the twin of Varanasi for its cluster of architecturally significant temples, as well as the twin of Prayagraj for the confluence of the Mahanadi and Tel rivers.
Simlipal National Park is situated in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha (formerly Orissa) in India. Total area of the park is 2,750 km2 with a core area of 850 km2.
