Narsipatnam in North Andhra serves as the gateway to the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh. Often overlooked as just a transit hub, it is the starting point for journeys into the "Agency" areas, including the famous hill station of Lambasingi. The town is nestled between the coast and the mountains, making it a unique mix of plains culture and tribal mountain influence.

The Narsipatnam Road (NRP) railway station is located about 40 km from the main town but is not used much. Lot more trains connect to Anakapalli and Tuni.
