Matabari is located approximately 50 km from Agartala, the capital city of Tripura, a northeastern state in India. It houses the most auspicious temple of Tripura, The Tripureswari Mandir, extremely revered by all the inhabitants of Tripura, Bengalis and Tribals alike. It is considered one of the 51 "Shaktipithas" as described in the Puranas.

Easy access from Agartala, you can hire a vehicle, board a bus or LMV travelling every few minutes from Nagerjala bus stand of Agartala. Fares are cheap.
