Kulithalai is a town on the south bank of River Cauvery in India. It houses the famous Shiva temple 'Kadambar kovil' (a Thevara sthalam). A taluk headquarters of Tamil Nadu, Kulithalai is a big town on the railway between Tiruchirappalli and Karur. From here one can visit Ayyarmalai Rathnagiri Eshwarar hill temple (also known as Vaatpokki) 6 km away.
It is well connected by bus every 5 minutes from Trichy the nearest big town.
