A Kali temple run by an elderly Chinese priest. It is said to be around 70 years old, previously run by local Hindus. According to local beliefs, a Chinese boy in Kolkata fell sick six decades ago, and was not responding to any treatments. Extremely worried, his parents rushed him to this altar, and worshipped the stone as Kali. The boy gradually recovered after the worship, and the present structure was built as a token of gratitude.
The daily puja is offered at 9:30AM and 7PM, followed by the distribution of a unique vegetarian bhog, which includes noodles, ramen, chop suey and Chinese rice. Even though no meat is served to the idol, cheap alcohols are served to her during Kali Puja.
