Karippur, also spelled Karipur, is a small town in Malappuram District, in the Malabar region of Kerala, India, some 2 km from Kondotty.

Karippur is a very scenic place suitable for trekking if your flight is delayed by several hours. But the humidity and heat makes any walking exercise difficult between 8AM and 6PM. Early mornings are ideal for a leisurely stroll. You can spend the daytime watching television in one of the budget hotels near the airport.
Malabar sweets and other delicacies are available in the numerous shops near the airport market.
