Hosur (Tamil: ஒசூர் Ochūr, Kannada: ಹೊಸೂರು Hosūru) is an industrial town in northern Tamil Nadu, on the bank of the River Ponnaiyar. It is considered the manufacturing twin of Bengaluru due to its presence of major manufacturing industries, compared to Bengaluru's presence of major IT industries.
