On the busy Dindigul – Trichy National Highway, at about 18 km from Dindigul, a road branches out in the right side. Vadamudarai is the name of the village, where the famous Soundararaja Perumal Temple is situated. The famous temple is situated at the heart of the small village. The temple has been renovated and has separate sanctum sanctorum for Perumal and Soundaravalli Thayar, Chakkarathalvar, Lakshmi Narasimar, Baktha Anjaneyar, Andal, Vishvaksena and Garuda are the other deities to be worshiped in the temple.
