The collection of the museum includes prehistorical stone sculptures, goddess heads of Mauryan era, and a chariot of Gupta period. The numismatic section displays 500 coins belonging to periods earlier than that of Guptas. Most of the artifacts are from the archaeological site of Ahichatra (or Ahi-Kshetra)
