Barasat (বারাসত Bārāsot or বারাসাত Bārāsāt) is the headquarters of North 24 Parganas district.

Barasat District Sports Stadium, Vidyasagar Krirangan
This football stadium is used mostly for Calcutta Football League matches. It is also used for several district-level, state-level and sometimes national level tournaments.
Siraj Uddan
This is a renovated amusement park containing lakes, gardens, fountains, monuments, and statues. Contains boat rides and toy train rides. There is also a light and sound show from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm .
