An ancient Kali temple.
The scenic beauty of the river can be seen from the Rakhaldas Bandyopadhyay Bridge and Rai Bridge built on the Ichamati River in Bangaon.
The modest single-storey house with three rooms was the primary residence of Bengali novelist Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay, known for novels like Pather Panchali and Chander Pahar. His original childhood home in Barakpur was destroyed in a storm, so he bought a new one two plots away in the 1930s. After the death of his son Taradas on 2010, the house became derelict for some time before being repaired and converted into a museum by Taradas's son Trinankur.
