The second largest village on the island and has a lot of tourism. The long sandy promenade is lined with restaurants, gift shops, cafes, pubs, etc. But even in high season the beach is not overcrowded. There are supermarkets, banks, doctors, police station in the center. The new build Marina is deep enough for sailing boats. From Limenaria leads a new paved road to Kastro fillage.
Limenaria is a village on the island of Thasos in northern Greece. The village numbers 2,428 residents and is the second largest settlement on the island of Thasos. The settlement is a popular tourist destination since the 1960s, with a 1.2 km long strand of beach and a number of smaller coves and pebbly beaches just to the west of the settlement next to the village of Trypiti (Τρυπητή), being the main tourist magnet for the locality. The village is also popular for tourists around the island for a visible view of the Holy Site of Mount Athos.

The second largest village in Thassos and a center of tourism. Very long beautiful sandy beaches that are not crowded even in high season, although many hotels lining along the beach line.
1 km before Limenaria. Beautiful sandy beach with beach bar and factory ruins from the time when mining was still going on. A "must-see" attraction. Also there is a nice rock cave.
The lead-silver ore opencast mining 2 km northeast of Limenaria with tunnels was in operation since ancient times. Old tunnels can still be seen today in the large open pit mine from 1903 to 1914. About 350 m before the entrance to Metalia Beach (coming from Limenaria) leads a dirt road to the open pit 2 km away. The large bright studs with standing height are very interesting photo opportunities for 'lost place' photographers.
Only a few foundation walls remain of the medieval castle (built between the 13th and 14th centuries, abandoned in the mid-15th century) located at a place called ‘Melissa’ or ‘Paliokastro’ on a small hill north of the village of Kalyvia.
3 km from Limenaria direction Scala Maries is the well-known beach Tripiti. It's famous for its rock with a hollow and the nice beach.
