Jirapa is the capital of the Jirapa Municipal District in the Ghanaian Northern Plains. It is around the border of Lawra and Nadoli districts. It has two main seasons; the dry season and the rainy season. The people are farmers and the farmer products like millet, maize rice and many more. Apart from farm products the they also rarely animals. Such as goats, sheep hens.

Jirapa Dubai, officially known as the Royal Cosy Hills Safari Resort, is a luxury 4-star safari resort and wildlife park. Nicknamed "Jirapa Dubai" by locals due to its lavish architecture and unexpected opulence in the savannah, it serves as a major tourism hotspot and game reserve.

From Wa to Jirapa covers about 68 to 70 km along the main Wa-Jirapa road. It can take you 1 to 2 hours depending on the kind of car ones takes. You go with a commercial transport or a private one.
