It is a slag heap of the former Bremer Hütte, which was artificially filled in from 1900. Unofficially, the slag heap is considered the highest "mountain" in Siegen and a landmark of Geisweid. Please do not enter the actual area of the slag heap as there were numerous cases of accidents and even some rescue operations.
